Make it Readable
How do you create a blog that doesn't want to make you fall asleep? (Sorry, but even though this is supposed to be about interesting blogs, it probably won't be all that creative). You need humor. Everyone loves a good joke or funny line sometimes. Oh, and use your personality and voice. You want yourself to shine through in what you write so whoever reads it can definitely say, for example, "That sounds like Alex. I'd know it without looking at the name."
Relate to your readers, too. Don't just blog about random subjects, like your favorite line of makeup. 'Cause no one really cares about that. And I'm sorry if you do write about that. Now this brings me to my next point: be nice. Don't write mean things about someone because that is frowned upon in many places, especially on the Internet. Although some people don't follow that rule...and those people are bad. Don't make one of them your role model.
And if you're wondering about length: LETCTSBSETBI.
Alrighty, on to comments. Absolutely be appropriate and respectful, because your comments are public, as well as your posts. Don't make the comment long. For perspective, keep it shorter than the post, unless it's like a 5 words or less post. Then I guess your comment can be appropriately longer than the post. And be on topic to the post you're commenting on. Keep everything tethered to the topic the author felt driven to talk about. Lastly, write creative comments. "Great job!" is alright, but try being constructive and focus on what the blogger wants you to.
